INTRA-SECTION INTER-HOUSE DEBATING COMPETITION
It was with the purpose of enhancing the communicative skills of the senior students of Delhi Public
School Greater Faridabad that an intra-section Inter-House Debating Competition was organized on
December 20, 2019 on the topic, ‘Man should Fear the Advance of Artificial Intelligence’. Each house
had put forward a speaker each both for and against
the motion, as well as an interjector. Needless to say,
the level of debating was intense with radical views
being put forth and questioned intermittently. The
judges, Ms. Vibha Mishra and Ms. Sumedha Kapur
had a tough time choosing the winners and finally,
after prolonged deliberations, the best speakers
were found in Akshat Juyal of XI-A, Akshit Tomar
of XI-D, and Dhruv Mathur of XI-D in the order of
I, II and III positions. The Interjectors were all quite
concise in their perceptions and the best among
the very talented team were led by Gokul Jhingan
of XI-D and seconded by Chetna Chandhok of XI-A.
The award for Best House for overall commendable
performance was bagged by Ravi House.
