Adventure Camp to
Andaman & Nicobar
24 students of Classes IX, X and XII,
accompanied by their teachers, visited the
Andaman Islands to study its rich bio diversity,
history and culture from June 13-17, 2019. As part of their
study, students got an opportunity to observe the topography,
climatic conditions, drainage, peopling, flora and fauna and a
chance to experience diving into the sea, exploring the marine
bio-diversity, reef ecosystems, life in the shallow seas. The group
of students indulged in Beach Bumming, Water Activities, Glass
Bottom Boating visit to Havelock Island, Cellular Jail, Coral
Reefs, Island Hopping. Keeping in view our school’s tradition,
a Plantation drive was held at Port Blair in the garden area of
Andaman Trunk Road. The students and teachers selected the
empty places to plant saplings in a well-organised way and were
highly enthusiastic while planting the saplings, fenced them and
watered the plants.
ROCKSPORT ADVENTURE
CAMP ‘ANUBHAV’
Away from the humdrum of the city life and gadgets, children
and their mentors of Classes V-VIII got the opportunity to
bond, and enjoy nature and outdoors in all its glory with
activities like Tent Pitching, Finding Directions Using
Compass, Rope Ladder Climbing, Burma Bridge, Hang-Man,
Rappelling etc. at Jungle Retreat, Bhowali from June 3-7,
2019. The survival tips in the jungle helped them trek to the
roof top mountains followed by a night stay in nature’s lap. The
days ended with an entertaining music session around bon fire
after a sumptuous meal served at dinner. The event culminated
leaving an everlasting impression in the heart, soul and mind of
the students as well as the teachers.
