Educational Visit to Indian
Meteorological Department (IMD)
During the visit, the Geography students of Classes XI and
XII were briefly familiarized about the techniques of a series
of observational / forecasting work of this office at Central
Hydromet Observatory (CHO), National Satellite Meteorological
Centre (NSMC) and National Weather Forecast Centre. The
process of calculating minimum and maximum temperature,
humidity in the air, wind direction, rainfall intensity and much
more was explained to the students via the instruments. Even
the process of getting information from the satellites and
transmitting it to various organisations and departments as the
daily weather forecast was elucidated. The two hours which the
students spent at MAUSAM VIBHAG were very informative for
further geographical studies and curriculum.
Educational Trip to Jim Corbett
in Collaboration with Space
Earthnauts Pvt. Ltd.
Dipsites along with school teachers and instructors from Space
Earthnauts enjoyed 36 mt wall Climbing, 200 mt. Zip Line, Bull
Ride, 8 Obstacle Course and Sky Cycling. Next day, everybody
enjoyed Jungle Safari during the early hours of the day. Students
spotted a few peacocks and deer while learning about the
flora and fauna of the area. During the Rocketry session, the
instructors explained the mechanism and functions of a rocket
while explaining the laws of science related to it. Furthermore, the
students were divided into groups and were asked to build model
of rockets which were then thrust into the air. The journey came
to an end at Moga Restaurant in Gajraula for a delicious meal. The
kids went home happily with their parents.
Visit to The Parliament
Setting step into the Parliament building, the largest
Panchayat of the most diverse country, our India, is a moment
of pride for any Indian. This is the feeling our Dipsites from
senior grades experienced on the lovely morning of January
15, 2020, while entering the ‘Parliament’ in New Delhi. A
study tour as it was, the day kept the students absorbed into
the architectural marvels and insightful knowledge about the
history of this heritage building shared by a very well informed
Parliament official. Some very interesting anecdotes that
he shared with our students about his rendezvous with the
leaders amused them. Most amazing aspect was the reflection
of a perfect balance between the colonial past of India and
the dreams and aspirations for a ‘Naya Bharat’, our leaders
envisioned here.
