FIRE DRILL @ DPSGF BY FARIDABAD FIRE SERVICES
         To  mark  the  Fire  Safety  Week,  Faridabad  Fire  Services  conducted  a  fire-fighting  lecture  cum
         demonstration for 1500 Dipsites of Classes III-IX to learn about ways to combat fire. The fire station
         incharge Mr. Jagpal Phogat, along with other officials, demonstrated rescue methods by following safety
         protocol. Thereafter, few students were given training for usage of fire extinguishers. It was an essential
         life skills workshop and hands–on-experience for the students, preparing them for emergency situations
         in the future. The Emergency number of Fire service 101 was shared with all.



















         ‘AFSANA - STORY TELLING FESTIVAL 2019’ -
         ORGANIZED BY ‘BOOKS EN BEYOND’
         To instil values, improve reading skills and open the mind
         of children to a world beyond imagination, DPS Greater
         Faridabad took an initiative to take the students of Class
         III to “ The Story telling Festival - Afsana”. Ms Seema Vahi
         Mukherjee, an international story teller and facilitator,
         narrated the story “The Legend of The Rainbow”. Six
         Dipsites  were  dressed in rainbow  colours and the
         Principal, Ms. Surjeet Khanna actively participated and
         was dressed in violet posing as the colours of rainbow.
         They  were  given  a  token  of  participation  from  Books
         and Beyond which was veritable icing on the cake.

         CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM ON ADOLESCENCE EDUCATION UNDER THE AEGIS OF CBSE
         This  informative  workshop  was attended by 32 teachers from  various schools  of Delhi, NCR. The
         CBSE Resource Persons, Ms. Aparna Sharma and Ms Anjuman Bains explained the need for teachers
         as facilitators to update themselves on information about the process of growing up, with a focus on
         rapid physical, psychological and social changes occurring during adolescence, about which they lack
         proper and authentic knowledge, information that they should be receiving from schools, parents, service
         providers and peers. The training session elaborated on knowledge skills, attitude and serious concerns
         relating to adolescents these days that need urgent attention like peer pressure, bullying, sexual health
         issues, body image and role of media. At the forefront of this session, along with resource persons, the
         teachers decoded the idea of equipping the students with the skills of decision- making, problem solving,
         critical thinking and creativity. The session also highlighted on core issues like importance of nutrition
         and well-being, drug and internet addiction.
