WORKSHOP ON EXPLOITATION AGAINST CHILDREN
In collaboration with the 100 Million Campaign team from Kailash Satyarthi
Children’s Foundation, a workshop on Exploitation Against Children was
organised in school. The session started with an interactive activity titled
“Memories of Childhood” where children enthusiastically shared the first word
that came to their mind when they think of the word childhood. A short video
on Bharat Yatra, March Against Child Sexual Abuse was screened for children
to associate with the movement and relate to issues like child slavery, sexual
abuse, violence in the community and the need for eradicating this menace as
soon as possible. The session concluded with the students writing a message
to Mr. Kailash Satyarthi and expressing their views on ending child slavery and
ideas on how to combat child trafficking and child sexual abuse.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH @ ATL DPS GREATER FARIDABAD
The morning was full of joy and hands on learning for the students of
Government Sr Sec School, Allika, gathered in the Atal Tinkering Lab at DPS
Greater Faridabad. The children started working on the Lego NXT kit under
the able guidance of ATL mentors and a Robot which could move in a definite
circular path and with a particular speed. Each child during the session shared
his/her own imagination to put the robot to use.

MOVIE FIESTA
The students of Classes IV & V enjoyed the screening of the movie, ‘Junglee’,
an action adventure, directed by American filmmaker Chuck Russell. Students
enjoyed the spectacular movie on elephant reserve and international poaching
ring and loved the spellbinding action, majestic elephants and the striking
jungles. The masterfully choreographed action scenes were the main highlight
of the movie. The students came back with more zeal and overwhelming
enthusiasm and with concern for animals and their habitats.
