We at DPS Greater Faridabad firmly believe in being extraordinary together rather than being ordinary apart. With the vision and mission of inculcating team spirit and encourage students to be a productive member of a team, DPS Greater Faridabad ideated a unique collaborative learning activity SITASH (Share Ideas Together and Soar High).Our school formed a fruitful association with Chirec International School, Hyderabad for the same. SITASH, for the students of classes 3 and 4 was formally inaugurated on 16th July 2021, over Zoom platform.
The inaugural session commenced with the digital lamp lighting. A brief introduction of the programme ‘SITASH’ was given by Ms Roma Wanchoo. After the introduction the anchors for the event, Garima and Nysa Mishra carried the proceedings further by introducing the participants from both the schools.
Mrs. Iffat Ibrahim, Principal Chirec International School, Hyderabad, addressed the gathering by conveying her sincere gratitude to the host school for conceptualizing and executing ‘SITASH’. She stressed upon the importance of developing 21st century skills among the young learners through such collaborative activities. She wished many such events to be organized between the partner schools in the coming years. Mrs. Surjeet Khanna, Principal DPS Greater Faridabad also addressed the audience. She expressed her joy at the strengthening of association between the two institutions over the years for a myriad of activities. She guided the students to not only share their ideas with each other but also, to soar high with the joy of working together and creating together. She also conveyed her appreciation for the team of teachers, co-ordinators and everyone associated with the event, for putting their heart and soul into making ‘SITASH’ initiative, a reality. She wished the participants the very best of luck.
The enthusiastic participants then shared their views and feelings about being a part of the ‘SITASH’ initiative with the audience. The programme culminated in a vote of thanks by Prisha Koshal, wherein she expressed her gratitude to the entire team and wished everyone an amazingly creative collaboration.
Judging from the fervour and zeal displayed by each participant, we are certain that the initiative –‘SITASH’ is going to be a huge success. It will not only give students a platform to learn together but also, go a long way towards enhancing their public speaking skills. We look forward to such enriching partnerships in future.
