School Rules
DPS Greater Faridabad is a progressive and student-friendly school that takes pride in maintaining a positive environment where students' voices are heard and their concerns are addressed promptly. At the same time, to protect the best interests of all students, we encourage adherence to a defined protocol of behavior.
School Policy
The following guidelines are upheld at DPS Greater Faridabad:
- Arrive at school on time every day.
- Wear a clean, ironed school uniform, including neat shoes and hair. No ornaments are allowed.
- Do not leave the classroom during regular classes without a teacher’s permission and an outpass for authorized movement.
- Maintain silence in classrooms, corridors, and staircases. All stairs and corridors are silence zones.
- Keep school bags closed and tidy, with no notebooks, books, or other possessions spilling out, especially when leaving classrooms.
- Do not take any property belonging to fellow students, whether intentionally or mistakenly (e.g., notebooks, textbooks, pens, sweaters, blazers).
- Avoid pushing, jostling, bullying, tripping, shoving, or using rude language or tone towards any other student in classrooms, corridors, school grounds, or the school bus.
- Physical contact with other students is strictly prohibited.
- Do not skip classes for any reason.
- Do not lie, cheat, or distort the truth under any circumstances.
- Food packets or water bottles sent to school will not be accepted due to security reasons.
Prohibited Items
The following items, which may be hazardous or distracting, are not allowed at school:
- Any type of weapon (including knives, blades, sharp objects, etc.)
- Drugs and drug-related items
- Chewing gum
- Undesirable pictures, books, magazines, etc.
- Firecrackers, lighters, or matchboxes
- Expensive toys, jewelry, digital watches, cosmetics, CDs, walkmans, iPods, and mobile phones with or without SIM cards, and pen drives (without teacher permission)
Bus Service
Bus service is voluntary and not mandatory. The Management reserves the right to withdraw the bus facility for any student without assigning a reason, with prior notice before the end of the quarter for which bus charges have been paid.
Student Responsibilities
Students must:
- Take pride in their work, appearance, and accomplishments.
- Develop self-discipline and show courtesy towards everyone in school and the community.
- Be regular and punctual, reporting to school in proper uniform and carrying notebooks and assignments as per the timetable.
- Respect teachers with courteous language and conduct.
- Use appropriate language.
- Line up when moving out of class and switch off lights and fans when not in use.
- Maintain school property.
- Complete school work and assignments on time.
- Carry the school almanac daily.
- Keep classrooms and school premises clean.
- Stay in sync with classmates and teachers in completing classwork.
- Be responsible for missed work due to absences.
- Return to class promptly from PE, library, labs, and other outdoor periods.
Student Restrictions
Students must not:
- Use indecent language
- Bully others
- Damage school property
- Play or run in classrooms or corridors
- Support fancy hairstyles, hair colors, or fashion accessories
- Be late for classes or submissions
- Skip classes
- Bring mobile phones, valuables, or large amounts of cash to school
- Litter in classrooms or the school
- Eat or drink during teaching periods
- Use unfair means during examinations
- Wear or carry accessories such as colored mufflers, warmers, or goggles
- Use technology unethically to cause harm or anxiety to peers, teachers, or the community
- Carry harmful substances
