Happytude Together is our initiative
towards serving the underprivileged. This
leads to sensitization of our students
towards the economic and social issues
faced by the ones who are less privileged.
This programme runs in collaboration
with a few NGOs and Old Age Homes that
our students visit regularly and spread
cheerful vibes.
In the month of August 2019, we joined hands with Robin Hood Army which is
a volunteer based zero fund organisation that works to get surplus food from
restaurants to the less fortunate sections of the society in cities across India
and 12 other countries. Our school seeks to help the underprivileged sections
of the society. With this association with Robin Hood Army in their Mission
Five our school has donated 160 kgs of raw grains (yellow daal and rice). These
grains will be distributed among five villages on Independence Day.
On August 14, 2019, we invited 50 kids of the Robin Hood Academy. Our
school provided them with a platform where they showcased their talent by
performing a patriotic dance.
On October 24, 2019, continuing with our annual feature ‘Gyarah Mutthi
Daan’, under the programme ‘Happytude Together, students of DPS Greater
Faridabad keenly participated in sharing happiness with the labourers.
Around 23 families of labourers were invited and dry rations collected by all
students from Classes Nursery- XII was distributed among them. Students
were inspired with this initiative and learnt to care and become responsible
citizens of the country.
On November 24, 2019, children of Robin Hood Academy went home full of
aspirations and dreams only to visit us again with full enthusiasm as special
guest to visit the cultural presentations and stalls put up on ‘India on the
Move’ exhibition held.
In the month of December, we invited contributions from our parents to be
shared with needy and underprivileged in collaboration with Shirdi Sai Baba
Temple Society, Sector–86, Faridabad.
On December 3, 2019, we invited ‘specially abled’ young adults from Tender
Heart School, Faridabad to celebrate International Day of Persons with
Disabilities. Students were inspired with this initiative and learnt to empathise
with others.
On December 14, 2019, our school organized BOOKRANG - The Children’s
Literary Festival-2019 in which we invited our Sledgehammer Foundation
children where they enjoyed story telling session and puppet show. They
were very happy.
