DPS Greater Faridabad has always nurtured and
upheld the virtue- “Atithi Devo Bhava” which means
that for us “The guests are at par with God”. This
emotion stems from our very Indian roots and is
deeply embedded in our thoughts that guide our
actions.
Our International Student Exchange Programme
with our Danish Partners from Roskilde Gymnasium,
Denmark has seen another year of a successful,
enriching and incredible partnership. On this warm
ocean of cultural exchange, the Indo-Danish ship
sails strong!
This partnership has broadened our horizons
beyond the domestic frontiers and has unravelled
the beauty of global diversity. After a fulfilling first
cycle of exchange we had our friends from the
Land of Vikings visiting us from November 17 to 27,
2019. The nineteen member delegation included
eighteen students and one teacher. The exchange
also involved an educational project on Sustainable
Development Goals 2030.
An array of school activities viz yoga, dance, cookery,
painting, saree/dhoti draping, hindi language
lessons, horse-riding, friendly football match were
planned and executed on various days.
To give out loving guests a flavour of the rich
Indian culture, trips and excursions to Bangla Sahib,
Akshardham Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar
and Taj Mahal were executed. The Danish students
along with the host students enjoyed these trips.
