“The earth does not belong to us. We belong to the earth.” – Chief Seattle
For many years down the line, Earth Day has been celebrated around the world to call attention to preserve the wonderful gift we all have – Our own Earth. It has been a continuous effort at DPSGF to sensitize students about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making their planet look even more beautiful. Keeping this thought in mind, the whole DPSGF fraternity celebrated Earth Day along with the completion of school’s successful journey of nine years, on Friday, April 22, 2022. The day started with an interactive session on the importance of Earth Day in our lives, followed by a motivational video. The Dipsites of Class I made a beautiful ‘Earth Day Hanging’ and the students of Class II participated in a ‘Plantation Drive’ under the guidance of their teachers.
The day went ahead by thanking school for making learning fun and informative. Through team work, the students of Class I made a beautiful card on ‘My School, My Pride’ wherein they wrote heart-warming messages for the school and Class II did a bouquet making activity on ‘Our Dear School’, to mark the beginning of the 10th year of DPS Greater Faridabad. The day was full of enthusiasm with students wishing two important gems – the School and the Earth. The children were encouraged to develop a continuing compassion for Mother Earth and thus making a difference.
‘The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth’.
That was the feeling in every Dipsite’s heart for our mother Earth.
