[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]SPACE Astronomy Camp students of Classes 1 and 2 were introduced to the fabulous planet on which they live. Even though we spend our entire lives on Eath, we still do not always understand how our Earth-the Blue Marble fits into the rest of the Solar System.

 In the session, students understood the shape of the Earth and other planets, as a sphere. They learnt about the age of the Earth, its position, size, distance from the Sun, and about the Earth’s natural satellite: the Moon. Also, they explored the reasons for the existence of life on the planet Earth and its special place in the Solar System. Students learnt about the concept of Day and Night on the Earth with the help of different activities.
