No matter how quarrelsome we are with each other, but a relationship between brother, sister and friends is unique. A friendship band and a rakhi thread is not just a ritual but a knot of protection. So, to celebrate this beloved relation and mark the importance of these beautiful relationships, we, at DPS, Greater Faridabad celebrated ‘Rakshabandhan’ and ‘Friendship’s Day’ during our assembly period on 3^rd August,2022.

Students Celebrated this unending bond of love and care with joy and glee. Some engaging and invigorating activities such as ‘Rakhi making’ for class 5 and 6 and ‘Thali decoration’ for class 7 and 8 were organised to celebrate these days in the most pleasant way. Beautiful rakhis made by our students depicted the unabated form of love between brothers and sisters. Girls decorated beautiful veneration plates and added charm to this pious celebration. Girls tied this sacred thread on the boys’ wrists and strengthened their bond. The handmade creations were opulent and exquisite and had an aura of awe and affection.

 Friendship is the most significant and valuable endowment of school life. Understanding the differences and accepting them with maturity is friendship. Our Dipsites were sensitized on the above. Irrespective of all differences, a good friend always stands by us through every hardship and failures. A friendship band tied on each other’s wrist made the relationship between all the Dipsites stronger as it depicted their unbounded love and care towards each other.

Students were also acquainted with the historical background of Raksha Bandhan and significance and relevance of Friendship’s Day through beautiful speech, poems and songs by their fellow Dipsites. To ignite our Dipsites’ innate curiosity to speak their minds, share ideas and talents , we oraganized  ‘I am good at’ wherein our students were provided with a platform to showcase their hidden talent  and nurture the intrinsic qualities.

Students were jubilant over this celebration. The joyous occasion reinforced spiritual links of affection and was celebrated with zest by all our Dipsites.
