For a music lover there is a song for every mood that strikes chords. To pick up one
favourite song for me would be akin to doing injustice to Alexa whom I keep bothering
with my wishlist which is quite an erratic range.
There are the morning ragas which the soul cherishes while sipping the early morning
tea- no compromises on that! If it’s a Sunday, Vividh Bharti is a must at my place. Old
songs have a charm of their own. Again difficult to pick up a favourite, though renditions
by Geeta Dutt have a different place in my heart, especially the ones set on the rhythm
           of Baul sangeet.
When the heart is playful, music by OP Naiyar dominates the playlist.
And then you have Carnatic classical by KS Chitra- I don’t understand the language but
that has hardly come in the way of my love for music. Then there are times when I am
my best company and this is where the all time faourites , Ghazals by Jagjit Singh and
Ghulam Ali add to self musings.
English classics by Abba set the tone when the lights are set dim and the mind has taken
           its own flight!

After introspecting these gamut of melodies, I realize that maybe favourite music is not
something you actively search for, but is something that finds you, and when it does, it
ebbs in and out of you for a while and finally takes you away with it.
