World Book Day

World Book Day

On April, 2026, DPS Greater Faridabad Library, Ignited Minds, enthusiastically celebrated World Book Day with a series of engaging and educational activities aimed at fostering a love for reading among students.
The celebration began with a special visit by government school students, promoting inclusivity and community learning. Students actively participated in a variety of thoughtfully planned activities throughout the day.
A Book Marking Activity encouraged students to identify and highlight meaningful sections from books, enhancing their reading and comprehension skills. This was followed by a Character Sketch Activity, where students creatively expressed their understanding of their favorite literary characters.
To make learning more interactive, a Word Search Activity based on Shakespearean works was conducted, helping students explore classic literature in a fun way. Additionally, a Crossword Puzzle on Shakespeare’s books challenged students’ knowledge and critical thinking.
The celebration also featured a Book Week initiative by Book vook, motivating students to engage more deeply with books over an extended period. Furthermore, a Talk Session on William Shakespeare and his works was organized, where students shared insights and learned about his contributions to literature.
Overall, the event was a great success, inspiring curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for books among students. The celebration truly reflected the spirit of World Book Day by bringing readers together and promoting lifelong learning.
