Another stimulating session was organized by DPS Greater Faridabad for our young and aspiring writers with the Author Sutapa Basu and in collaboration with ‘Books en Beyond’, on 31st July, 2021.

SutapaBasu is an Indian author, most known for her works Dangle, Padmavati and Genghis Khan. The author won the first position for writing a short story in the genre of mythological-fiction in response to the prompt given by author Amish Tripathi in the 2017 TOI Write India Season 1. She was also nominated for the Pune International Literary Fest’s Anupam Kher Award for Best Debut English Novel in 2017.

The author shared her experience with our Dipsites and gave some really useful tips to pursue their passion of writing and to excel in it. She told that storytelling and literature play an important role in preservation of human heritage, culture and diversity and author SutapaBasu, who is just out with her mystery novel, ‘The Cursed Inheritance’ says, it is important for writers to contribute more towards conservation of heritage through their stories. 

She has always been interested in mystery, thrillers and history and that she involves in her books by travelling to the places which she wants to write about. The first hand experience of those places gives realistic touch to her characters and the setting.

Around 50 inquisitive participants attended the event and made it successful with their Interesting and thought provoking questions.
