The Delhi Public School Society – HRD Centre organised a workshop on November 23, 2020, on the topic “Best Practices in Art Integration-Mathematics ”  designed to explore different approaches to Art integration. Ms. Priyanka Khurana, from DPS Greater Faridabad was a part of the workshop which was organised for teachers teaching classes VI to VIII. The aim of the workshop was to acquaint teachers with various forms of Art that can be incorporated in their classroom teaching for providing advanced educational experiences that students receive.

The goal of education is to give the child a sense of freedom to express and to realize his or her own potential. When children are happy, they get a chance to feel that they are creating something thereby their general motivation goes up. This is where Art becomes the basis of learning.

The resource experts from various branches of DPS, contributed to the enrichment process. The workshop highlighted the engrossing areas of learning such as Mimicry, story telling, singing, role play, paper cutting, clay modelling, Rangometry, Origami, Mandala art and dramatisation. The learning platform was an engaging one and the teachers stepped out equipped with more confidence and numerous wonderful ideas for their classroom teaching.
