“Brother and sister, together as friends, ready to face whatever life sends. Joy and laughter or tears and strife, holding hands tightly as we dance through life.”…..Suzie Huitt

The festival of Rakshabandhan is a symbol of brotherly love, and many mythological and historical stories are attached behind it. During the hard times of lockdown, students of Class-I have seized this opportunity to celebrate this festival intending to spread happiness around, on Thursday, August 19,2021.

To begin with the celebration, the teachers and young Dipsites recited a beautiful poem. This was followed by Rakhi Making Activity wherein the students designed beautiful rakhis using colourful papers and decorative material. The boys made beautiful rakhi cards and wrote heart-warming messages. Their artisanship was quite fascinating and students thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side. The importance of the festival and the significance of Raksha Bandhan was discussed by narrating the ‘Story of the queen, Karnavati and the emperor, Humayun’. It was delightful to see the enthusiasm of all the students.
