In this Covid times DPS, Greater Faridabad has seized the opportunity to celebrate Raksha Bandhan virtually and it could not have been possible without our wonderful Dipsites and the support of our parents.

The festival of Raksha Bandhan not only celebrates the love and duty between brother and sister, it also speaks about the rich culture and tradition of India that makes our nation different from others.

The auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated by the Dipsites of class Nursery -II on 29th July, 2020 where all the students enthusiastically participated in Rakhi Making Activity.The beautiful day started with an interesting interaction between the students and teachers on Raksha Bandhan.

Class Nursery and Prep students made beautiful rakhis using water colours, crayons, ribbon etc. and also sang a lovely Raksha Bandhan song on this occasion.

Class I students made colourful rakhis using circles, strips of paper, mauli etc.The girls made beautiful rakhis and were even shown how to set the thali for this special day with the material available at home like- sindoor, rice, candies etc. They also learnt to make diya with the help of used lemon or kneaded flour dough.

The boys made wonderful rakhi cards and wrote heartwarming messages for their sisters.

Class II students made vibrant rakhis using paper fan technique, circles, ribbon and decorative material available at home. The girls used their creativity to make rakhis and boys made decorative cards for expressing their love with the message written for their sisters.

It was delightful to see the enthusiasm of our little Dipsites for their brothers and sisters. All the students participated with great zeal and zest in this activity.
