Classrooms organized BOOKRANG-The
Children’s Literary Festival-2019 (BCLF),
for the Dipsites of Classes Nursery-V on
December 13, 2019. Students celebrated the
event by engaging themselves in Reading
Clubs, Story Telling, Art Fun, Animation,
Astronomy and Creativity through 20
enriching workshops aided by eminent
authors and storytellers like Ms. Seema Wahi
Mukherjee, Ms. Anubha Daspal, Mr. Pranav K.
Singh, artists like Mr. Amitabh Pandey,
Mr. Salil Shail, Astronomers and many more.
The renowned author guests shared valuable
tips with our students on reading, writing,
drama, poetry along with an insight on art,
Inauguration of Bookrang 2019.
cartoons, caricature, and calligraphy coupled
with music. The highlight of the event was
an exclusive and interactive workshop for
Parents by Eminent Author, Ms. Richa Jha on
‘How to Raise a Reader and Importance of
Reading in a Child’s Life.’ The goal of this
event was to expand the culture of reading
for creativity, imagination and multi-sensory
stimulation; a learning experience beyond
textbooks and tests. It encouraged children
to read and unlock the power of reading by
boosting their self-expression and critical
thinking.
The main attractions for the day were the 20
workshops organized for varied experiences
with 100% students of Nursery-V. There was
an Art Competition for Classes III–V on the
Story Telling session for Nursery. theme- Republic Day. The best Art work
would make its way to the Cover of the
Beyond Classroom, January 2020 edition.
The next most exciting activity was ‘Letter to
Santa’, the Writing Competition for Classes
I-III, wherein the students wrote a Letter to
Santa Claus stating their Christmas wish.
There were several Utility Stalls for students
and parents to visit and have fun.
A Book Store was setup with the latest
collection of Children’s Literature for all. There
was an opportunity for students to meet the
author, and buy the autographed book from
them.
It was an adventurous, fun-filled colourful day
for the Dipsites and parents of DPS Greater
Faridabad.
