         International Dimension
         in Schools 2020-23

         A Manifestation of Efforts

Delhi Public School, Greater Faridabad, right from its inception had a firm belief in the
limitless potentials of children. Children in todays’ times are not butterflies in cocoons or
pearls trapped in oysters. They have wings which flutter and a glow that the world is waiting to
discover. With the world becoming a global village, it becomes imperative for any institution
to expose its learners to a global dimension in curriculum so that their true potentials are
tapped and they become future fit. This perception of the globalised world has guided the
         school’s International Policy.

One important component of this international
policy is the schools’ association with British
Council for International Dimension on Schools
Award. For our extensive global dimension we had
been awarded the IDS for the cycle 2016-2019.
To continue this exciting and meaningful journey we
applied for the second cycle in 2020 for the 2020-
23 cycle. Though it was our second plunge into this
realm the experience seemed so fresh , so much
full of new vistas, an exploration of undiscovered
areas and unleashing of a big bubble of energy and
         enthusiasm.
A journey full of commitments, a journey of joyful
revelations, a journey of discovering the potentials
of children and teachers alike and last but not
the least a journey towards building long lasting
relationships across borders. Our first major
challenge was to design a workable action plan,
incorporating international dimension in each of
         the seven activities.
A core IDS committee was formed for this purpose
and suggested action plans were invited from all
departments from Nursery to Senior school level.

Each action plan was clearly weighed for its
         learning outcomes, international aspect and
practical feasibility of implementation and the best
         seven were then chosen.

It was a pleasure to witness each Activity In-Charge
gearing up for the success of their individual plans,
equipped with the mantle of leadership. Be it In-
House activities like Arrive and Revive, Symbols
Galore, Fests and feasts, Globe at My ground or
the collaborative activities revolving around Zero
