The Sky’s the Limit!
Why can’t I fly,
high up in the sky....
And say goodbye to all those,
who are standing nearby. My India, Clean and Green
India is great and now it’s growing,
Why do only birds, to the rest of the world, now it’s showing.
have feathers and wings? We are not throwing garbage on the street,
Why not you and I and us, we clean the place wherever we eat.
have these delicate flier things?
Keeping India clean day and night,
we know that our government is doing what is right.
Is their no magic, Bursting of crackers can cause pollution,
which can make us fly? to fight this, government is giving many solutions.
Or is it only the birds, India has wonderful wildlife and forest,
who are the rulers of the sky....
we will soon become best of the best.
Children of India are brave and clever,
What is the difference between them and us? we will keep India on top forever.
When we are both living creatures!

My Experience of a Whirlwind Trip to Lansdowne
Lansdowne is not a very familiar spot to people but is a very mystic hill station of Uttarakhand. The word Lansdowne is actually
named after Lord Lansdowne, the Viceroy of India in 1887 as he is the founder of this beautiful place. Located in Pauri district
of Uttarakhand, it was a major spot for activities during the British era. Originally known as Kaludanda or Black hills was
developed by the British.
I visited this place with my parents during the winter vacations. It was a two day trip. We travelled by car. Though I usually find
road trips boring but while traveling to this place I was extremely engrossed in admiring the natural surroundings. During our road-
trip we passed through the Kotdwar road which was surrounded by thick and dense jungle on both sides. It was such a picturesque
experience for me that I felt I could sit there for hours. The cool breeze was very soothing. The journey became more adventurous
when we read a notice that read that there were elephants in the jungles . We couldn’t see any elephants but still I was eager to
see the natural beauty of Lansdowne for which it is famous. Just after we reached the
hill station, we went to the Blue Pine Resort and quickly freshened up. Suddenly I heard
the rumbling sound of stones falling. I ran towards the window and to my delight, I saw
hailstones hurling down the sky. I felt really lucky as it is a rare sight. The chilling cold of
Lansdowne were breathtaking, and we covered ourselves with as many warm clothes as
we could. After the hailstorm stopped, we went to see the tourist spots of Lansdowne. We
first went to the Bulla Lake which was truly dazzling. We thought of boating in the lake
and when we started boating, it began to snow. It made my day! I was spellbound. The
temperature was decreasing but my excitement was rising. It was truly my lucky day. The
next day we visited the St. Mary’s Church, the Garhwali Mess and the Tip in Top point.
After returning to the resort we felt like we were in a heavenly abode surrounded by snow
capped hills. We had the best food as it was home made which is always my favorite. We
took many photos and some of them have given me the fondest memories. After many
such memorable photo shoots it was time for us to say goodbye to Lansdowne.
