Social Development

As we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also actively contribute to society, our commitment to holistic education encompasses a range of initiatives aimed at fostering social responsibility and community engagement among our students. Here are several impactful programmes and activities that exemplify our dedication to promoting social development.

We regularly organize environmental awareness programmes to foster a sense of responsibility towards society and the environment. In April, we launched the Eco Brick initiative, encouraging students to reflect on their societal impact and environmental footprint. Additionally, we conducted a waste collection drive, where students actively participated in gathering and properly disposing of waste materials. These activities not only foster civic responsibility but also teach the importance of sustainability and community care.

Community Service Programmes: Our club, Agrani, plays a pivotal role in organizing various community service activities. Students actively participate in cleanliness drives, tree plantations, and visits to old age homes like Tau Devi Lal and Seva Sadan (Sec 15), where they spend quality time with the elderly people. They also visit orphanages, engaging in meaningful interactions that foster compassion and empathy. Like every year this year too the students enthusiastic celebrated Labour Day by presenting handmade badges, flowers etc to bhaiyas, didis and other helpers of the school. The gesture emphasized our commitment to honouring the dignity of labour and promoting social equity.

The school has collaborated with an NGO – the Robinhood Academy, to provide educational support and resources to underprivileged children. We have associated with GGSSS Sehatpur, Faridabad, we share resources with the school for enhancement of the learning experience for their students. In partnership with the Rotary Club, we conduct blood donation camps to contribute to the community’s health and well-being. Additionally, we visit Prabhat, an NGO home for special children, to support their unique needs and serve people at Gurudwaras in Faridabad, promoting a spirit of service and humility.

These activities not only nurture a sense of civic responsibility but also teach students the importance of compassion and empathy towards others.

Collaborative Projects: Collaboration is at the heart of our approach to social development. Students engage in collaborative projects that involve group activities and peer learning. We have collaborated with schools in India and abroad.  Our students from classes 7 & 8 collaborated with the students of Model Academy, Jammu for an English language project.  We also have collaborated with CHIREC International School, Hyderabad, Anand Vidya Vihar, Vadodara. These experiences not only enhance their teamwork skills but also encourage them to appreciate diverse perspectives and work towards common goals.

Cultural Exchange Programmes: Promoting cultural understanding and global citizenship, we organize cultural exchange programmes with schools from around the world. These exchanges with schools in Denmark, France, Japan, Germany, and this year, IGS Peine, Germany, provide our students with opportunities to learn about different cultures firsthand, fostering mutual respect and appreciation for diversity.

Spiritual Development

We believe that spiritual development is fundamental to nurturing well-rounded individuals. We have implemented various initiatives to foster this aspect of our students’ growth:

Physical Development

We prioritize providing top-notch facilities for the holistic development of our students. Our lush green soccer field is an evidence to our commitment to sports excellence. This expansive field not only serves as a venue for various sports but also hosts morning practice sessions where students refine their skills under the expert guidance of qualified coaches. These sessions not only improve athletic skills but also teach discipline and teamwork to our students.

The opportunities provided by our sports infrastructure extend beyond practice. Our students regularly participate in Inter-House competitions and external tournaments, where they showcase their talents and often qualify for District, State, and National and International levels.
