“Don’t practice till you get it right, practice till you can’t get it wrong.”
Olympic games are seen as a platform for the athletes, all around the world to showcase their talents by competing peacefully and bringing glory to their nations. The Tokyo Olympics 2021 brought laurels for India. It was a matter of pride and dignity for all the Indians by winningnot one, not two, but seven medals at the Tokyo Olympics. With seven medals won by team India, Olympics 2021 saw India give its best-ever performance.
These achievements were equally a matter of merriment for the young Dipsites of Class I. The students compiled the achievements of the Indian Medal lists in the form of- ‘My Olympic Diary’ wherein very creative and colourful cover page designs were made by the students using decorative material, pictures, sketch pens etc. The interactive online sessions enabled the students to get an insight into the incredibly talented athletes and their historic achievements. The Quizkraft, based on the theme-‘Tokyo Olympics’ was discussed regularly during the online sessions, to make the students well- aware about the Opening ceremony, Closing ceremony and other aspects of the Tokyo Olympics. The enthusiastic Dipsites did a lot of research work, collected pictures of the Indian athletes and pasted them in their diaries. They were surprised to know that out of the seven medals won by team India, three were won by the athletes from Haryana- Neeraj Chopra, Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Bajrang Punia. The activity not only enhanced their general awareness but also inspired them to take equal interest in all sports. The students also realised that ‘Tomorrow’s battle is won in today’s practice’.
