‘Logo ki raksha karne, Ek ungali par pahaad uthaya

Ussi Kanhaiyya ki yaad dilaane, Janmashtami ka paavan din aaya’

Janmashtmi   is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and loveable re- incarnations of Lord Vishnu. This celebration is the culmination of devotion, entertainment and fun. It awakens and enlightens our souls and spirits. Due to the ongoing pandemic, it was difficult to visit and witness the decorated temples and display of Krishna Leela. Refusing to let that affect the spirit of the festival, little dipsites of classes Nursery and Prep virtually paid their tributes to Lord Krishna on Friday August 27, 2021 during our online session.

The celebrations commenced with an engaging discussion between the students and the teachers about the significance of Janmashtmi followed by a virtual tour of temples and Jhankies depicting various Ras Leela’s of our beloved KanhaJi.  To add more fun to this day Class Nursery organized a ‘Flute Decorating’ craft activity and Class Prep enjoyed making ‘Dahi Handi’ using paper craft

It was an enchanting experience to watch our little dipsites adorning the looks of Radha and Krishna, accompanied by little Gwalas and Gopiyan together singing the birthday song for Lord Krishna. The celebration would have been incomplete without a cheerful dance session on foot tapping music of Lord Krishna Raas. It was a fun filled day with some mischievous glimpses from Lord Krishna’s life.

Haathi Ghoda Paalki ! Jai Kanhaiya Laal Ki !
