“May Krishna show us the way in our life as He showed the way to Arjun in the battle of Mahabharata.”
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated with full fervour and gaiety on 18th August, 2022 by our young dipsites of class 1 and 2.The students came traditionally dressed as Gopis and Kanhas and witnessed the aesthetically made tableaus on the life of Lord Krishna. The students of class 1 did an interesting activity ‘Krishna’s Butter Pot’ wherein they decorated the matkis of Krishna with the beautiful art of tearing and pasting. They not only showcased their creativity but also developed their fine motor skills through this activity. Our young dipsites of class 2 did an activity ‘Kanha Ki Kalam’ in which they decorated a small matki (pitcher) in a creative manner and made a pencil top with it. Both the classes watched a short movie on Krishna and hence enhanced their knowledge about Krishna’s life and tales about him. It was an enriching and enjoyable experience for all of them.
