Poem recitation has its own rhythm and sound which is very helpful for a child’s language development along with cognitive and emotional development. It is an art of expression that enables the students to explore inner talents and also builds confidence.  Keeping this in mind class 2 organized an Intra Section Hindi Poem Recitation Competition ‘जीवन एक उत्सव‘on August 31st, 2022, Wednesday. The students recited poems related to life as a celebration on a range of topics like happiness, achievement, gratitude etc. They recited the poems with proper diction, voice modulation and expression. The impressive props used by them added to the charm of their performance. This competition not only developed their rhythm, phonemic awareness but also their memorization skill and self-expression. It was an excellent opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. It was heart-warming to see the wonderful renditions which were a result of consistent hard work and practice. The performance of our young dipsites was appreciated by our esteemed parent members of the Mentor Studio programme Ms.Neha Bhutani and Ms. Sudha Lakra who also evaluated the performance of the contestants. The winners were applauded for their efforts and awarded a beautiful neck tie and certificate by our respected Headmistress ma’am Ms. Ritu Jain.
