India, a land of diverse cultures and traditions, is known for its vibrant festivals. These celebrations bring people together, strengthen bonds, and fill the air with joy and enthusiasm. However, the exuberance of these festivals often comes at a price —‘environmental degradation’. Embracing eco-friendliness during these festivities is not just a choice but a necessity for a sustainable tomorrow. Keeping this in mind DPS Greater Faridabad organised an Intra Section Elocution Competition ‘Eco Friendly Warriors’ for our young Dipsites of class-II on December 21, 2023, Thursday.

The enthusiastic participants verbalised their ideas of celebrating festivals in an eco-friendly manner to promote sustainability and harvest a healthier life for our planet. They expressed their views on their favourite festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Christmas, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. The students emphasised the idea of celebrating Clean Green festivals. The handmade props added grandeur to their presentation. The performance of our young Dipsites was admired and evaluated by our esteemed parent members of the Mentor Studio programme Ms. Ruby Sharma and Ms. Krtika Dua. All the students put up their best show and were awarded with a beautiful, handmade paper reindeer and certificate by our respected Headmistress ma’am Ms. Ritu Jain. The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the students.
