To explore the transformative aspects of early childhood education in line with NEP 2020 and NCF 2022-23, DPS Greater Faridabad organized a comprehensive session for Principals/Head/Owner/Faculty Members of fifteen play schools across the city on February 3, 2024. The session was conducted by Ms. Anupama Bakhshi, Empanelled & Certified Trainer for Workshops & Curriculum Development.
The program commenced on an auspicious note with the lighting of lamp of knowledge and wisdom to invoke the blessings of Almighty, by our honourable Principal Dr. Bindu Sharma along with esteemed Guest Ms. Anupama Bakhshi and all the participating dignitaries.
The event triggered off with the energizing ‘Chair Zumba’ as a happy and engaging ice breaker for all the participants.
The emphasis in the workshop was on the ‘Foundational Stage’ under NCF which suggested a commitment of the school to understanding and implementing the latest educational frameworks. Empowering schools through pedagogy, innovation, and effective strategies was highlighted which is crucial for adapting to the evolving educational landscape.
The session explored the idea of ‘Panchakosha Vikas’ which highlighted the five stages of a child’s development. It focused on how educational activities should be in line with these developmental phases and offered insightful information on how to foster competencies through interesting activities like problem solving, critical thinking, creativity and social interaction.
The Participants interacted on their concerns, queries and shared feedback. e-certificates were awarded to all the educators acknowledging and appreciating their commitment to ongoing professional development.
In summary, the comprehensive session organized by DPS Greater Faridabad was a well-structured and forward-thinking initiative, aligned with the goals of NEP 2020 and NCF 2022-23, ultimately benefiting early childhood education in the region.
