“GOOD ALWAYS TRIUMPHS OVER EVIL.”

Dussehra also known as Vijayadashami signifies the  victory of good over evil. It is celebrated every year with great pomp and show but during this pandemic time, to cheer up the students, teachers of Class-I planned a virtual celebration  for the curious Dipsites on 21st October,2020. Teachers narrated the Story of Ramayana and students participated with full zeal in meaningful discussions to understand our rich culture and values. The students with their parents enthusiastically participated in  Dussehra Craft where they created their own colourful effigy of Ravana using fluorescent sheets. They made 10 heads depicting greed, violence, anger, cruelty, ego, hatred, jealousy, attachment, fear and regret. Students interpreted the meaning of each trait and also  the difference between good and bad. It was indeed a great learning for our enthusiastic Dipsites where they learned about the most important lesson from the Indian Epic Ramayana. Teachers also guided them to crush these effigy rather than burning  to avoid pollution as a responsible citizen .  This auspicious day was celebrated  with great happiness and fervour.
