Cambridge & Global Education

Cambridge Pathway at DPS Greater Faridabad

A global curriculum, thoughtfully rooted in Indian ethos.

Beginning with the academic session 2026-27, DPS Greater Faridabad will roll out admissions for the Cambridge curriculum starting with Cambridge Early Years and Cambridge Primary. This pathway brings a globally recognised curriculum and assessment framework to our existing CBSE strength, giving learners the advantage of an international education while staying connected to the cultural foundation of India.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At DPS Greater Faridabad, we believe that the best education prepares children to navigate the world confidently without losing their sense of identity and roots.
The Cambridge International Programme enables us to:
• Adopt research-based, global best practices in teaching and assessment
• Nurture learners who are curious, reflective and responsible
• Retain the DPS legacy and Indian ethos that emphasise integrity, respect, empathy and service
In the classroom, this translates into a learning environment where children discuss, question, collaborate and create, while also imbibing values that have always defined the DPS tradition.

WHY CAMBRIDGE AT DPS GREATER FARIDABAD?

With a legacy of over 160 years in global education, Cambridge International is today offered in more than 10,000 schools across 160+ countries. Its qualifications are widely recognised by universities and institutions around the world.
At DPS Greater Faridabad, the Cambridge pathway has been introduced to provide families with an internationally aligned option that complements our strong CBSE foundation and supports students who aspire to global academic and professional opportunities.

Cambridge is built for an increasingly interconnected world. The curriculum is structured to support learners who may pursue higher education or careers in India or overseas, offering continuity, flexibility and global relevance.

For families who may relocate internationally, Cambridge ensures smoother transitions, as the curriculum structure, assessment philosophy, and classroom approach remain consistent across countries.

The Cambridge curriculum is regularly reviewed and updated in line with international educational research and evolving global skill requirements. It prepares students not only for present academic expectations, but for the realities of future university learning and professional environments.

Cambridge follows a clear, adaptable curriculum framework that schools can tailor to their local context. Learning progresses in a coherent, age-appropriate manner, ensuring strong conceptual foundations, academic depth and clarity at every stage of schooling.

Cambridge qualifications are recognised and valued by leading universities worldwide, supporting study opportunities in India and internationally.

THE CAMBRIDGE PATHWAY

Cambridge Early Years (typically for learners aged 3-6)
A play-based, inquiry-led programme that focuses on the holistic development of young learners. Emphasis is placed on language, early numeracy, motor skills, social and emotional development, and the growth of early thinking skills through exploration and guided discovery.
Cambridge Primary (typically for learners aged 6-11 years)
Builds strong academic foundations in English, Mathematics, Science, and other subjects, while nurturing curiosity, independence, and confidence as learners gradually take greater ownership of their learning.

Phased Introduction at DPS Greater Faridabad
The Cambridge Pathway at DPS Greater Faridabad will be introduced in a phased manner, beginning with the academic session 2026-27:
• Phase 1: Cambridge Early Years (EY 1, 2 & 3) and Cambridge Primary (Grades 1 & 2)
• Phase 2: Cambridge Lower Secondary (Grades 3-8)
• Phase 3: Cambridge Upper Secondary / IGCSE (Grades 9-10 equivalent)

LEARNING IN A CAMBRIDGE CLASSROOM

Each Cambridge classroom includes thoughtfully designed work stations for inquiry, problem-solving, reading, experiments, and creative expression. Students move through these zones to explore concepts from multiple angles.

Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas and examine real-life contexts rather than only preparing for tests.

The focus is on why and how, not just what. Learners work on applying concepts to unfamiliar situations

Assessment focuses on ongoing formative assessment, classroom-based feedback, and optional Cambridge Progression Tests and Checkpoint assessments.

Topics and case studies may include international examples, but classroom conversations always relate back to India’s culture, society and contemporary issues, preserving context and ethos.

OUR CAMBRIDGE-ACCREDITED EDUCATORS

Our Cambridge programme is anchored by teachers who engage in Cambridge Professional Development and training in Early Years and Primary pedagogy, ensuring alignment with international teaching and assessment standards.
