In a captivating celebration of the age-old tradition of storytelling, DPS Greater Faridabad hosted Mr. Kapil Pandey, an esteemed international storyteller, during the Soul Fest on February 10, 2024. The lush green grounds transformed into an open chaupal, evoking the nostalgic ambience of listening to stories under a banyan tree, aimed at fostering curiosity and continuing the rich tradition of storytelling in childhood.
The open chaupal, adorned with captivating decor and meticulous attention to detail, created a visual feast, recreating the joyous atmosphere of yesteryears.
Mr. Kapil Pandey, with his impeccable style, mesmerized the audience with two enthralling tales – ‘Tuntuni,’ a folk tale from Bengal, and ‘The Ganga’s Curse,’ tailored for different age groups. The latter delved into the realm of mythology, while the former, the story of Tuntuni Chidiya, offered entertainment, a powerful message, and intriguing characters, making it a truly engrossing experience.
Utilizing his guitar, musical talents, and interactive engagement, Mr. Kapil Pandey skillfully involved the audience, presenting the plot, setting, and characters with outstanding flair. The storytelling session became a symphony of vocabulary, melodious songs, meaningful gestures, and valuable values, creating an atmosphere of inspiration, learning, and enthusiasm. Mr. Kapil Pandey’s charismatic presence, pitch, tempo, and expressive use of face and gestures captivated the audience, turning the session into a memorable chapter in the hearts of all who attended.
