Finding Light in the Midst of Uncertainty
Writing this article has given me the opportunity to express an emotion that resonates
deeply within me. It was the year 2020. After nearly 17 years of traveling across the
country and making a home wherever the Indian Army stationed us, we were finally
preparing to settle down. The prospect of owning my own house, securing employment
with DPS Greater Faridabad, and most importantly, embracing the idea of stability filled
me with excitement. With dreams in my eyes, I arrived in Faridabad on March 18, 2020.
Little did I know that God had different plans. Just days after our move, the entire nation
came to a standstill due to a tiny virus that unleashed chaos. There I was, in an unfamiliar
place, with an unsettled house, lacking even the basic amenities needed for comfort,
struggling to keep everything together while also ensuring the physical and mental well-
being of my teenage son. To add to my distress, the job I was eagerly anticipating was
postponed.
Music has always been my solace. Whether in times of joy or sorrow, it has offered me
comfort. During one particularly bleak day, as I battled the creeping doubts, a line from a
song suddenly caught my attention:
^^ekfyd us tks fpark nh rks] nwj djsxk oksgh---**
This line struck me like a bolt of lightning. It felt like a message from the divine. The clouds
of self-doubt and darkness that had surrounded me until that moment seemed to vanish,
as if by magic.
