In the busy rhythm of my life as an educator, where each day is a blend of guiding young
minds and tackling the challenges of teaching, there is one Hindi song that always finds its
way into my heart. Whether I’m in moments of joy or reflection, the poignant line “Tujhse
Naraz Nahi Zindagi” from the film Masoom strikes a chord with me and has a unique
power to evoke a wave of deep emotions. Gulzar’s simple yet profound lyrics beautifully
capture the ups and downs of life. The song reflects on how life can be difficult at times,
yet despite everything, we find ways to move forward. These lyrics resonate deeply with
me, serving as a gentle reminder that even when life deviates from our expectations, there
is always a way forward, and often, life reveals an unexpected reservoir of inner strength.
In my role as a teacher, I witness students navigating their own struggles, both academically
and personally. This song encourages me to approach these moments with patience and
empathy, guiding them to see that obstacles can become opportunities for growth. Its
timeless message speaks to anyone who has faced adversity and found the strength to keep
going.
Listening to it after a long day brings me peace, reminding me of the importance of
kindness and resilience, both in my life and in the lessons I impart to my students.
