Bollywood songs have often evoked strong emotions, whether it’s joy, sorrow, love, or
nostalgia. I am sure most of us have our favourites too. One of the Bollywood songs which
influences me is ^bd fnu fcd tk,xk] ekVh ds eksy*. The lyrics, the rhythm and voice of
Mohammed Rafi, carries an intense and a reflective message about the impermanence
of life and the futility of the materialistic world. It inspires to look beyond what one has,
be thoughtful and how one’s good deeds and words have more influence on lives than
the power they have. All that matters is our own essence, our humility, kind words and
actions help us find solace.
Each time I listen to this song and sing along, its melody and lyrics resonate and stir strong
emotions within me and help me to introspect life from a fresh perspective. Live life to the
fullest and in the moment as the truth of life lies in the uncertainties it encompasses!
