It was a matter of great privilege that Ms. Mamta Deshwal, Senior Librarian, Delhi Public School, Greater Faridabad, attended the National Conference on School Libraries (NCSL) 2025 organized by the Library and Documentation Division, NCERT, held on 11–12 November 2025 at NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi.
The conference was centered on the theme “Role of School Libraries in Implementing NEP 2020” and encompassed several subthemes, including digital transformation, inclusive access to learning resources, promotion of reading culture, and best practices in school librarianship.
Eminent experts and practitioners shared valuable insights on library automation, ICT integration, child-friendly library design, and the evolving role of librarians in strengthening the school education system. The sessions highlighted the vital role of school libraries in fostering lifelong learning and advancing the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020.
Ms. Deshwal also had the honor of presenting a paper titled “Fostering Collaborative Learning in School Libraries.” Participating and presenting in this prestigious conference proved to be a highly enriching experience,
providing her with updated knowledge, innovative perspectives, and practical strategies to enhance school library services and make them more effective, inclusive, and learner-centered.
