In September 2020, my life took a dramatic turn. While I was blessed with the arrival of
my baby girl, I was also faced with a dire medical prognosis that left me with a slim chance
of survival. My family rallied around me—my husband spoke of my importance in his
world, my siblings saw me as their guardian after our father’s death, and my mother’s silent
strength was a constant reassurance. Despite numerous hospital visits and consultations,
hope seemed distant. Eventually, a different hospital agreed to a 21-days ICU stay. I spent
over a month in the ICU, enduring severe trauma, anxiety, and pain. Miraculously, my
condition improved, and I returned home, though recovery was challenging—simple tasks
like eating and using the restroom became hurdles. Through it all, my daughter’s smile was
my beacon of hope. The song “Jaane Nahi Denge Tujhe” from the movie 3 Idiots resonates
deeply with me, encapsulating the emotional and physical struggle of my journey and the
profound love that helped me through.
