“I am an Indian and we celebrate all festivals in every region of every religion.
That is why it is calledIncredible India” – Vinayak Muraleedharan

The month of August not only spreads the fragrance of love for our motherland but also  blesses the virtuous bond of love between a brother and sister. To help our young Dipsites experience the beauty of these emotions, we at DPS, Greater Faridabad celebrated Rakshabandhan and Independence Day with great zeal and fervour for the students of classes Pre – Nursery to Prep. It was a week-long celebration commencing from August 8th and culminating on  August 12,2022.

The festival of Raksha Bandhan celebrates the love and affection between brothers and sisters, it also  is the epitome of the rich culture and tradition of India. Dressed up in scintillating ethnic wear, our little Dipsites learnt the significance of this eternal bond through an interesting interaction between the students and teachers. It was indeed a delight to witness the little girls tie the sacred thread of love ‘Rakhi’ around the wrists of the boys and the spark in their eyes was worth a watch as they received chocolates and wishes in return. They also very joyfully filled vibrant colours in the picture of ‘Rakhi’to enrich their colouring skills. The celebration helped to imbibe the true essence of our culture in the minds of the young learners.

Throughout the week the feeling of patriotism also reverberated in the tiny hearts as the Little Wonders Wing celebrated Independence Day with grandeur and fervour. Drenched in the colours of patriotism, our little munchkins looked stunning in their tricolour outfits. The celebration commenced with a story on the significance of the day, narrated proudly by the class teacher. This was followed by the National Pledge and National Anthem which instilled patriotic zest and pride for our nation. Students with their heads held high, pinned the self-crafted tricolour badges on themselves. Their craft work reflected the creative efforts of the young learners. To add to the beauty of the occasion they danced merrily to the tunes of

‘Desh Mera Rangeela’ song which was worth an applaud. Their faces radiated pride as they got themselves clicked while shouting out the slogan ‘Jai Hind’.

It was indeed a magnificent celebration which not only made us proud but also left an everlasting impression on our hearts.
