The Resource person was Founder & CEO of The Future Skills Company, Ms. Shweta Khanna Bhandral. The teachers of classes V to VIII attended the two hours workshop with zeal and vigour.
The Resource person pointed out the fact that COVID has brought us face to face with technology and the internet like never before. Our children now-a-days, not only have increased dependence on technology but also increased exposure. They know what is going around in the world 24/7 due to the abundance of information available through news, media and internet. The biggest concern with this kind of exposure is frequently encountering misinformation and disinformation. Therefore, teachers need to understand and skill themselves to be able to guide and collaborate with students. To take teaching ahead of the factory model each teacher today will have to tune in their lesson plans keeping in mind the 21st-century skills – the 4C’s – Critical thinking and problem solving, Communication, Collaboration, Creative and innovative thinking. It will help our children navigate better in this globally connected world.
Teachers were also involved in some fun-filled and learning activities. Overall, it was quite an informative and enriching session that made teachers more skilled and resourceful.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
