India is proverbialas the land of festivals and celebrations and Dussehra being one of them has been unique in its perception and significance. To enable our young dipsites of Class-I understand the spiritual significance of Dussehra and enhance their creative abilities, an ‘Online Intra-Section Ravana Making Activity’ was organised on Monday, October 11^th, 2021. Students made colourful and bright effigy of Ravana, using waste material like ice-cream spoons, straws, etc. and decorated it using decorative material. They were completely immersed in decorating their effigies and had a lot of fun. The teacher enlightened the students with amazing facts about the festival and discussed the significance of the ten heads of Ravana depicting greed, anger, cruelty, ego, hatred etc. The students also shared different stories behind celebrating Dussehra. The activity was organised to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason of his collapse. It also brought out the talent and creativity of the students. Students were told to crush the effigy, instead of burning it, to avoid pollution.
