In Their Words: Messages from Our Mentors

MS. SURJEET KHANNA

When we conceptualised our very own FLYMUN in 2017, we knew that our endeavours
would set milestones for us to conquer, to measure the progress of our journey by. But
even as we basked in success, we did not foresee the roadblocks that would greet us along
the way. After three successful editions, we were faced with the pandemic, which put life
to a halt. I can still say that the students and teachers at DPS greater Faridabad never fail
to surprise me, for the silence of the pandemic only proved to be a period of recuperation.
There were greater things in the making! My school shines with pride as student leadership
takes the front seat, and my brilliant DIPSITES come together for FLYMUN 2023. I turn
my gaze towards my student delegates, who will get a taste of holding the world in their
gentle, caring, and able hands. I anticipate energised ideation and deliberation, and active
reporting by my reporters, cartoonists and photographers. It will be a sight to behold. I
welcome you all to the future.
