To promote a more ecological approach to fashion, an Eco Friendly Fancy Dress Competition – ‘Fashion Fiesta’ was organised by Grade 1 on May 9, 2023. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in students by giving them a platform where they could speak on ideas related to eco- friendly environment. The young orators gave a descriptive narration about different themes such as save water, save earth, use of wind mill, energy conservation, plantation, minimize the use of plastic, no wastage of paper etc. The students prepared zealously and brought alive their unbridled imagination through their work. The beautiful costumes and props added magnificence to their presentation. The hard work and efforts of the students and unconditional support of parents was highly commendable. The idea of switching to sustainability and finding alternatives also helped students to generate awareness to adapt a better lifestyle and become an environment crusader. All the winners were well appreciated and felicitated by beautiful badges.
