World Design Day is all about celebrating great designs that make our lives better. The day is celebrated annually on April 27. We can witness designs all around us, from the d\u00e9cor and home furnishings in our homes to the billboards on the roads we take to drive on. It can even be experienced in the high-tech sports gear, product packaging and branded clothes we wear. A great design is always meaningful and inspirational for everyone.<\/p>\n

This year’s World Design Day\u2019s theme is kind design. A kind design is beyond just its simple functionality to find out its effect on people. The theme asks, “Is it kind?” and offers to have a “kindness standard” in design to see how a design is capable to create a promising tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Rather than the least requirements set by design regulations, a kind design will have all the elements of care and positivity. It won\u2019t just take into account the user experience but also everyone else who is involved in it. It is all about having beauty and inspiration while ensuring the well-being of everyone, be it the end user of the product or the producer itself.<\/p>\n

World Design Day was first celebrated in 1995 and was initially known as World Graphics Day. The day honours designers to make our lives beautiful as well as better. World Design Day also promotes all fields of design ranging from graphic design to appealing visual communication.<\/p>\n

The objective of celebrating World Design Day is to disseminate knowledge about inspiring designs that we look at around us in our day-to-day lives. A great design is always capable of transforming the world. For example, a good design makes products such as wheelchairs and phones more accessible and user-friendly.<\/p>\n

World Design Day is exclusively dedicated to the community of designers who put in their best to build great products and services that ease our lives.<\/p>\n
