It is rightly said, “After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the things we need most in the world”. Stories give wings to our imagination and take us far beyond the boundaries of our physical world into the land of fantasy.

 In collaboration with Books en Beyond, a virtual author’s session was organized for the students of classes IV to VI on July 14, 2021.Ms. Asha Nehemiah, a renowned and multi-talented children’s author conducted the session on ‘A Pinch of Magic’. It was highly engaging and interactive session. She narrated the story beautifully and ignited a spark of curiosity from the moment she started her narration to create an aura of enthusiasm through her high energy packed session. She even guided children how to write a story and present it on paper.

It was a wonderful session for the students, parents and teachers.Our young Dipsites participated passionately in the questionnaire session. There was an overwhelming response of around 100 participants during the session. Their feedback soon after the session was amazing.

DevanshSrivastava, a student of class VIII E said, “It was a good experience and I loved to interact with the author. It was my first online author’s session and I really enjoyed it.” The virtual session was too interactive and informative. Thank you for organizing such sessions feedback shared by Manya Kohli of 6F. Such sessions are really helpful to foster reading habits in our kids.

Learning through story telling was surely a thoughtful initiative by DPS, Greater Faridabad, undoubtedly the best learning methodology to entertain and engage with the students. The author’s session had truly seemed to have worked its magic on the students. It was a great show!
